Mandhukasana word make from two words mandhuk and asana mandhuk means frog and asana means posture of yoga.

Mandhukasna is a posture like frog, so in yoga it is seated asanas of hath yoga and modern yoga. the main benefit of this asana is to relieve of stomach issues. It is one of the best yoga poses for people with diabetes. It helps in stretching the pancreas to promote the release of insulin. According to yogis, the right time to do Mandukasana is in the morning. Because in the morning our stomach is empty. And experts also say that this asana should be done on an empty stomach in the morning.You must do this asana after getting up in the morning for half an hour.

Process to do this asana

  • 1 - Sit normally on a yoga mat.
  • 2 - Take a few deep breaths so that your body relaxes.
  • 3 - After this,bend your knees backward.
  • 4 - Make fists with both hand thumb inside the fist.
  • 5 - Place your fists on your belly next to the belly button.
  • 6 - Take a long breath in.
  • 7 - While exhaling, lean forward slightly and apply more pressure towards the navel.
  • 8 - Now make sure that your chest is touching your thighs.
  • 9 - Keep looking straight.
  • 10 - State in this position for 10 -15 sec.
  • 11 - While making this pose, breathe in and out for a while.
  • 12 - When you leave this pose, take a deep breath.
  • 13 - Slowly inhale and come back to Starting Position.
  • 14 - Repeat this pose for 3-4 times.
